Obsidian is a multifunctional outdoor rug. The anatomical fit and the soft foam padding on top of the withers lift the rug slightly to relieve pressure on the withers and increase comfort for the horse.

The rug is available in three different thicknesses: the basic version without padding, a slightly thicker version with 150 grams of padding, and a warm version with 300 grams of padding, to meet cold winter conditions.

Both the rug and the neck are made of a water-repellent fabric (5000mm-3000gsm) and the inner layer features a woven Welltex® fabric, which is closest to the horse's coat. The lining protects the coat from chafing and the fabric provides powerful reflection of infrared energy. Thanks to the large blanket, the Welltex® material can exert its therapeutic effect on a large part of the horse's body.

The Obsidian blanket can help stimulate blood flow to all major muscle groups – making it an excellent choice before and after every training session, as well as during rest and recovery. The Welltex effect can contribute to improved joint mobility and ease of movement.

The blanket is held in place by double chest buckles, crossed belly straps, and a plastic-covered tail cord with D-rings. The blanket is easy and securely attached to Back on Track "Rhyolite" liners.

Luxury Black in color, both the blanket and the neck are neatly finished with reflective piping for good visibility and safety.
